AKA joins politics by boycotting DA and EFF events

Johannesburg – The politics of the music industry transend to the politics of the day. As much as musicians can show favour to particular political parties or choose their own party. However, its un usual for them to boycott other political party events.

AKA, has taken it to twitter to openly show where he stand in South African politics. His fans were surprised with his tweets explaining why he choosed to boycott Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) and Democratic Alliance (DA) events.

The rapper told his friends on twitter with his tweets:

"I have no problem with who you vote for ...That's the beauty of our country. We don't have treat politics like Chiefs vs Pirates bro."

"Remember, I am a father to a young child .... I am thinking about her future and the South Africa she's going to be living in."

"I don't look down on artists who perform at the request of political parties ... A booking is a booking... However..."

"I've turned down every request of the DA to perform at their events. I've even performed at 2 EFF parties."

"The ANC is faaaaar from perfect, but I firmly believe it's the only political party with the credentials and policies to lead our country."
